You there

In the midway of the mortal life,
Once sunlight hath bath'd eight November days

A gibbous moon will rise to light
A journey departing from heaven's gaze.
Virgil, sagest Bard
Will guide thy souls cloth'd in corruptible flesh
On a descent unimaginable, hellish and immoral,
United in bifurcation,
Else, a trident if ye wish,
Where to face the sins of mortal foulness,
All hope abandon, ye who enter here.
O courteous confidant, thy presence do not spare
At the eighteenth hour and thirty,
Encounter a 'skeller door
Baring a trinity of windows, apt
And fortuitously plac'd to to sojourn,
For nearby, departing decrees will be deliver'd
And tenets told, quenching the pangs of longing
For elucidation, and atonement for thine indecency.
Urgent! The intolerable late will be scorn'd,
And will falter, for apathy doth hinder thine effort.
Dear friends, who command sustenance -
Merciful Virgil will dispense with thine anguish -
Thy heart unburdon'd from debt
Will find libations and victuals
At a banquet stretch'd forth
To honor and cherish thy noble daring.
Some questions suspended, must remain so,
Obey'd 'til a journey unfolds, prithee.
